Honeymooners looking for an ideal destination… you will find the romantic island of St. Kitts.

St. Kitts Island

Located between Antigua and Puerto Rico, couples will find the romantic island of St. Kitts. Couples looking to bask in the sun on spectacular white sand beaches and swim in warm waters, should look no further than St. Kitts and also her sister island, Nevis.

Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour

A honeymoon on St. Kitts and/or Nevis is an ideal destination for total relaxation and serenity in a place of natural beauty that is filled not only with history, but romance too.

These islands have drawn travelers since the days of Christopher Columbus. In fact, St. Kitts was originally known as St. Christopher Island. With it’s strategic location, it was a treasured stop along the trade route which lead to its growth and prosperity.

Kittitians, as the locals are called today on St. Kitts, are warm and as welcoming as the island weather. They are proud of their island, which includes the biggest fortress ever built in the Eastern part of the Caribbean, along with gorgeous Victorian architecture and incredible wildlife such as birds, monkeys and mongoose

Although a small island, St. Kitts offers fantastic, adventurous experiences and romantic spots to spend an amazing honeymoon. Couples can wander in the rainforest, snorkel or dive among the coral reefs, or hike down into a dormant volcano. The beaches are tranquil and crowd free, with beautiful white sand. Couples can also enjoy horseback riding, golfing, zip-lining and so much more. Boating, deep sea fishing, wind surfing, shopping, and dining are all among the other activities that draw honeymooners here to start their life together.

Another unique activity is the Scenic Rail Tour, which boasts one of the last active trains in the Caribbean islands. The train travels over 24 bridges as it makes its way through the landscape and the island’s mountain range.

When couples are ready for some down time, there are a number of spas on the island that will help sooth away your worries….many of them located in the island’s fantastic resorts, hotels and inns. A wide variety of accommodations abound on the island, with something to offer everyone.

If staying on St. Kitts, couples can take a trip over to neighboring Nevis, which always seems to host a number of celebrities due to it’s more isolated atmosphere. Although a bit more expensive to stay on, this island is known for it’s natural beauty, quiet and unspoiled, and is one of the Caribbean’s best kept secrets.

Honeymooners looking for the perfect postcard scenery, look no further than endless sunshine with incredible sunsets at Cabo San Lucas.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort

For honeymooners looking for endless sunshine, great nightlife and activities to fill your day, look no further than exciting Cabo San Lucas.

This part of Mexico boasts around 300 days of sunshine per year, and an average temperature of 78 degrees.  Though a bit cooler from October to April, it warms up from May to September, sometimes reaching the 90’s.  This area gets about 10 inches
of rain, most falling between August-October.  This near-perfect weather lends itself to gorgeous sunsets and tons of land and water activities.

Los Cabos consists of two towns connected by a 20-mile corridor. Cabo San Lucas is to the west and is a lively town with famous clubs and a large, active marina area. San Jose del Cabo to the east, is a calm, quiet, picturesque and charming colonial town with cobblestone streets. The area in between is lined with residential areas, golf courses and fantastic resorts. The whole area is referred to as Los Cabos or just Cabo.

Honeymoon couples who venture to this part of the world will find so much to do…. spas, world-class golf courses, whale watching, horseback riding and tons of other activities.   The waters around Cabo have strong currents, so most visitors spend their time at their resort’s magnificent pool as swimming in the sea is not recommended.

Nightlife and dining are centered in Cabo San Lucas where couples will find lively bars for drinking, dining and dancing.  But Cabo is really for romantics, with its postcard perfect scenery and incredible sunsets.

During the day, couples can take part in numerous activities.   There are 9 golf courses, zip-lining, off-road buggy adventures, sport fishing, whale-watching (Dec. – March) and natural wonders such as the El Arco de Cabo San Lucas.
The area also offers great All-inclusive resorts, and a number of very high-end luxury properties.   Cabo is easy to get to from most U.S. cities and provides a wonderful action-packed, yet romantic destination for honeymooners.

The resorts are reasonably priced, with an easy flight, great All-Inclusive/Adults-only options. During the day visit the famous Rick’s Café, or Dunn’s River Falls. 5.  Aruba

Perhaps there was a reason The Beach Boys mentioned it first when they sang,Aruba, Jamaica, ooh I wanna take ya…

Maybe it’s because Aruba is a safe bet as the island is outside of the hurricane belt, or maybe because it has great day tours, shopping, restaurants, beautiful beaches, and incredible water sports. Whatever the reason, this beautiful island offers Parasailing, Snorkeling at De Palm Island, and don’t forget the amazing food! And an absolute must is watching a sunrise at The California Lighthouse. If you’re not an early bird, the sunsets are just as beautiful.

6.  Cruises

10.  Key West, Florida

Stay in the states; feel like you’re in another world!

An absolutely great option for those looking to stay in the U.S. Key West is blast, with its endless entertainment, famous nightlife, and plentiful bars, restaurants and shopping. The tropical landscape is flat and good for bike riding and walking.

The nightlife needs no introduction, but if you’re looking for culture, Key West has that, too! Visit Ernest Hemingway’s house and take a peek into the office where he wrote many of his novels, stop by the museum, and after, go to his favorite bar and drink! Hemingway would’ve liked the thought of that.
